If I Locked My

How Does A Locksmith Open A Car Door? |

A Locksmith uses special car tools to
open a car door, he may use a long metal bar that goes
through the side of the window. After inserting this bar
the technician will try to pick the lock button. He may also has a
special pillow that provides space and proper insertion
of the metal bar. Although this method tends to work for
most cars not every car can be opened this way. All cars
have different security settings and therefore various
techniques must be used. |

repaired if it is not heavilly damaged or worn out. Most
of the time it is recommended to replace
the deadbolt so you do not find yourself in a tough

not open. What can I do?

supply them with the specific information that they
require for security reasons. After providing the
information they may be able to give you the help you
need. If they are unable to help with your
troubleshooting the

I have a closet that requires a
skeleton key to open it - but do not have the key - how
do I open it? |

Since these locks tend to be
low in security and are usually just a lever inside the
lock. They can be
opened by a piece of 1/8" steel cut in an L shape.
You can
also try to remove the lock by taking all the screws
out, either way is equally important. |

I have multiple keys for my
apartment is there a way I would be able to have all the
locks working with the same key ? |

the locks. This can be done by re-keying the locks and changing there inside

create a master key for one specific lock so you can

Duplicate.” Can I get a copy of it anyway? |

The law states that in order to copy keys marked “Do
Not Duplicate, “Do Not Copy” or “Unlawful to Copy” one must
have an authorization letter from the owner or supervisor
present. Even though this is the law, locksmiths and
hardware stores are sometimes willing to copy these keys
for an extra fee. |

If I get locked out, should I let my
doorman call a locksmith for me? |

calls by offering a substantial commission to doormen or
supers. This commission is often as high as $75-$100 per call.
